Recognizing the Ability in Every Child

Positive Behavior Support addresses the fact that all children display some type of behavioral challenge. However, some children have a more difficult time managing their behavior, and often times this may be related to the disability they have. This video training focuses on how to prevent challenging behaviors before they occur and hot to create environments that offer support to children. Presented by Phyllis Vokey Long, MA. Successful inclusion requires creative and responsive accommodations to support children with diverse abilities. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) addresses the necessity of making accommodations for children with disabilities and other special needs so that they can participate in community programs. Communication Journals for Parents and Providers- A hands-on tool designed to facilitate communication between families and providers. Designed as a small spiral bound notebook that can be carried in a pocket, the journal serves as a daily record of a child’s experience in a program.
