KIT Affiliates are organizations that have formally submitted an application to receive training and technical support from KIT. Selected organizations then begin a four year relationship with KIT which entitles them to the following services:
- Free on-site training and continuous support for staff
- Unlimited access to live community trainings
- One set of training materials for your staff
- Child-specific consultations provided by a KIT Inclusion Specialist
- Site-specific consultations for Program Directors
- Networking opportunities with other organizations who are practicing inclusion in their programs
- Access to KIT's Sophie Brody Resource Library software, books, and materials
- Access to our Support Center and Inclusion Specialists via phone and email
- One complimentary admission to KIT's National Conference on Inclusion and Journey Toward Inclusion Luncheon
- Access to KIT's training site, including the Opening Doors to Inclusion self-paced eLearning modules, Instructional Videos and inclusion and disability related FAQs
The four year model is designed to create sustainability within the organization, creating systems change so that inclusion becomes their way of doing business.
KIT National Affiliates are sponsored by the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF). KIT National affiliates receive training and technical support from KIT using a combination of live visits and cutting–edge technology over a two–year period.
