REPORTS TO:  Support Center Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Military Support Specialist will serve at the Operator and provide administrative support for KIT's Support Center. The Military Support Specialist will receive all Inclusion Action Team forms from the US Navy Child & Youth Program staff and organize all aspects of the form to completion. In addition, the Support Specialist will assist with entering data on trainings and support calls conducted for the purpose of research and evaluation.

CLASSIFICATION OF POSITION:  Full Time Non-Exempt

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Answer all calls in the Support Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:0am - 2:00pm and assign calls to on duty specialists or schedule an appointment for a future call.
  2. Check all Support Center email inboxes for the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps.
  3. Receive all Inclusion Action Team forms (Monday-Friday), call each submitter, assign to specialist and track all data.
  4. Use ETO software and excel to track all Support Center activities and produce a weekly report card every Friday and distribute to Support Center staff and KIT management.
  5. Maintain the Support Center calendar on Outlook.
  6. Respond to calls and emails regarding KIT services.
  7. Conduct follow-up calls to clients who have utilized the Support Center.
  8. Conduct outreach calls to staff working at military child care centers to introduce KIT services.
  9. Enter training evaluation data on all military related trainings.
  10. Attend regular Support Center staff meetings, monthly NTCI meetings and other meetings as assigned.
  11. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, National Training Center on Inclusion.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Perform similar or additional duties as requested by supervisor.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  1. BA in Special Education, Education, Recreation, Psychology or a related field preferred.
  2. Experience with children with and without disabilities in out-of-school time programs.
  3. Customer service experience.
  4. Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
