TRAVEL REQUIRED:   Yes, 5% - 10%

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Executive Director is responsible for direct management of the "Training " and "Support Center " functions of the National Training Center on Inclusion. Major duties include staff supervision, hiring and performance evaluation, project management, internal and external program evaluation and support to the research function, as well as building and maintaining relationships with various collaborative partners, clients and advocates. The Associate Executive Director will develop and monitor NTCI budgets, create and implement processes and systems and ensure that the organization is meeting the quality standard of the International Association of Education & Training (IACET), for which it is an Authorized Provider.

CLASSIFICATION OF POSITION:  Full Time Exempt

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    TRAINING

  1. Supervision of in-house trainers, Learning Support Specialist and training contractors.
  2. Oversight and compliance of US Military and other contracts.
  3. Coordination of training events like bimonthly webinars and paid trainings.
  4. Ensure completion of military site visits.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with clientele and community partners.
  6. Oversee KIT Annual National Conference on Inclusion.

    SUPPORT CENTER

  1. Supervise in-house specialists and Military Support Specialist.
  2. Manage call center operations including staffing, scheduling, quality control and accountability.
  3. Use data to prove efficacy and drive new business.
  4. Oversee Inclusion Action Team referral process.

    IMPACT EVALUATION

  1. Manage data collection using KIT Learning Management System and Efforts to Outcomes software.
  2. Respond to ad hoc requests for data.
  3. Design and manage large-scale internal evaluation.
  4. Support external program evaluation.
  5. Support Randomized Control Trial and other research projects.
  6. Produce quarterly reports for staff and board on impact and outcomes.

    OTHER

  1. Contribute to grant writing and reporting.
  2. Participate in budget development for NTCI.
  3. Develop efficient processes and systems for NTCI.
  4. Facility and equipment management of training room and technology.
  5. Serve as the staff liaison to the board of directors Program Committee.
  6. Conduct a thorough annual review of all training policies, ensuring compliance in each of the ten IACET categories and reporting to the Program Committee of the Board.
  7. Work with Director of Operations to conduct an annual review of pricing strategy for KIT’s training and materials.
  8. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, National Training Center on Inclusion.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform similar or additional duties as requested by supervisor.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  1. Four-year degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s preferred)
  2. Some knowledge of special education, child or youth development programs and/or experience with the process of including children with special needs in community programs
  3. A minimum of 3 years work experience in a non-profit or educational organization planning and implementing activities
  4. Demonstrated ability to supervise professional staff
  5. Firm grasp of computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  6. Ability to use data collection software and SPSS, Winsteps
  7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  8. Basic knowledge of accounting
